Crown and Vaneer
Explained

A veneer is a thin shell that is made out of porcelain or ceramic and goes on front facing of the tooth. It can be used to close gaps, make teeth even in length, cover tooth deformity cover and dark stains and create a uniform looking smile. It can transform your smile that can boost your confidence.
Crown are recommended when there is advanced tooth structure loss due to decay or trauma or root canal treated back tooth to restore function and appearance. There are different types of crown and we can recommend one based on your need and expectation.

A crown covers the entire tooth. With a crown, more of the tooth needs to be filed or ground down to prepare for the crown placement. If you have tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed part of the tooth before making the crown. In this case, your tooth may need to be built up to support the crown.

Your tooth may also need to be built up if it’s damaged. You may have a local anesthetic for this procedure.

What’s involved with getting a crown?

  • Your dentist will produce an impression of your tooth by digitally scanning it or by making a mold. The image or mold will be sent out to a lab for fabrication of the crown, if the dental office doesn’t have a lab facility.
  • The dentist may place a temporary crown on your ground-down tooth so that you can use your tooth while the permanent crown is being made.
  • When the permanent crown is ready, the dentist will remove the temporary crown. They’ll then place the permanent crown on your tooth and will adjust it so that it fits correctly and your bite is right. Then they’ll cement the new crown into place.
  • Teeth with crowns may have some movement, which can change your bite. If this happens, you’ll need to have the crown adjusted.

How much do they cost?

Veneers and crowns can be costly. Individual costs vary, depending on the size of your tooth, where it is in your mouth, and the average prices in your area.

Most dental insurance programs won’t cover cosmetic dentistry. Also, most dental plans have a maximum annual limit of coverage. Check with your insurance company to see what they’ll cover.

Veneers

the cost for a veneer can range between $1000 to $3000 per tooth. Porcelain veneers are more expensive than composite veneers, but they last longer

Crowns

The cost of a crown varies by the material used to make the crown, the amount of prep work needed, and the size of the tooth.

According to the Consumer Guide to Dentistry, crowns can range in price from $1,000 to $3,500 per tooth. This figure doesn’t include other procedures such as core buildup or root canals that might be needed before the crown is made.

Porcelain and ceramic crowns tend to be slightly more expensive than all-metal crowns.

I have visited last year 2019 to tooth fill up. After a week started a problem. I contacted them specially dr Anita. She asked me to come back with no charges. I went there. Dr Anita fixed it but one month later again started more big problems. Dr Anita has no good experience. She is new learner dentist. Also charge a large bill. It’s a one kind of robing people. Unnecessary extra charge for X-ray. do not provide a receipt too. I do not recommend any person to go there. Better search experience dentist in your area.
Hospitality is very poor. Specially Ashok yadav at reception had very poor attitude. In totality, I felt it’s a cheating and wrong place for treatment. No good knowledge about dental treatment. Be careful !!!!

Nice dental place in Bramalea area. Dr Gupta is an expert at what she does. She’s very friendly, and is willing to accommodate if you have special requirements. They are also flexible with time of appointments and in fact agreed to close the place after their usual closing time for me. I have been there more than 3 times, and will return. Recommended!!

“Very Pleasant Indeed”
It was a very pleasant meeting with Dr Anita and her team. I was suffering from a toothache and infection very badly. I was thinking of removing my tooth as it was bothering a lot . She is very professional in explaining and providing valuable suggestions and options. I must say “Thank you” for saving my tooth. I felt like two hours for my procedure went by so quick. It is not easy to find a good Dentist for a family and especially for Kids. My daughter says “I like my Dentist”.
I highly recommend Dr. Anita and her team for your Family .
